Kidderminster Harriers manager Paul Wotton has labelled Saturday's FA Cup tie a "very, very serious game" and expects a stern test from Solihull Moors. The fourth round qualifying match at Aggborough kicks off at 3pm this weekend, with the winners progressing to Monday's first round proper draw.

"We know we're in for a tough game," Wotton said. "I personally feel Solihull are in a false position in the league." The Moors currently sit 23rd in the National League, having taken just seven points from their opening thirteen games. Wotton insisted his Harriers side will treat the cup clash as a major priority, stating there will be no question of rotating his squad. "We haven't got the bodies to chop and change," he added.

Team context and recent form

Both sides approach the fixture with mixed results. Solihull Moors' recent form reads three wins and two losses from their last five outings across all competitions. Their most recent match was a 1-0 victory over Everton U21 in the National League Cup last Tuesday, which followed a heavy 5-0 league defeat at Worthing. Kidderminster, meanwhile, are seeking a first win in five National League games, though Wotton remains encouraged by a run of draws, including a 0-0 stalemate at Carlisle United last weekend.

The historical context adds another layer. The clubs have met a couple of times in competitive action during the 2024-25 National League season, with each side claiming one victory. Their shared history stretches back further under Solihull's former name, Moor Green, with 23 meetings recorded between 1945 and 2002.

For Solihull Moors, the cup offers a break from a difficult league campaign where they have conceded 35 goals. After Saturday's trip to Kidderminster, attention returns to the National League and a home fixture against 14th-placed Carlisle United next weekend.

Matchday details

Tickets for the match at Aggborough can be purchased online up to 15 minutes after kick-off. Home fans are advised that buying in person at the box office on match day will cost an extra £3, and season tickets are not valid for this FA Cup fixture. The alternative is to call the Ticket Office on 01562 823 931.

The prize for victory is a place in Monday's first round draw, a prospect Wotton highlighted as a key motivator. "Getting through the FA Cup brings excitement of the draw on Monday for fans," he said, describing the competition as "magnificent" and capable of making a huge difference. Solihull Moors will be aiming to cause an upset and secure a morale-boosting run in the famous tournament.
