Solihull Moors are in a race to secure a pitch alcohol licence for their Bank Holiday music festival. The club announced its ground, the Armco Arena, would play host to the first Moors Tribute Festival on Sunday, May 3.

What's at stake?

The festival features tribute acts including Queen, Taylor Swift and Sam Fender, with over 1,000 tickets sold in the first 24 hours.

The club needs to quickly secure the licence, with a special meeting of Solihull Council's licensing act panel scheduled for next week.

Opposition to the plan

Laura McCarthy, ward councillor for Elmdon, has submitted an objection, citing concerns over parking and disruption to local residents.
